Graduate Research Assistant, the National Center on Physical Activity and Disability

Graduate Research Assistant

NCPAD, the National Center on Physical Activity and Disability, in the UIC
Department of Disability and Human Development, is currently looking for a
Graduate Research Assistant to work 50% time for the Fall 2011 semester.
This position comes with a with tuition waiver.

The NCPAD research assistant will be responsible for answering NCPAD's
800-line, processing consumer requests, mass mailings, editing, and other
clerical duties. A background in a field such as disability studies, health
promotion, adapted physical activity, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology
and public health is preferred. Duties will also include, but are not
limited, to providing resources for a national resource center to
individuals with disabilities, family members, students, and professionals;
performing physical activity program and literature searches; formatting
various publications (brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters); preparing
materials in response to requests for information on physical activity and
disability; regularly updating websites; conducting consumer
feedback/evaluation surveys; preparing materials for display and
distribution at national conferences and expos; and participating in social
networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and NCPAD Blog.

Must be a graduate student at UIC.
