About the Position: We are looking for a full-time senior associate who will be an integral part of our challenging and exciting practice. Experience with ordinance drafting, detailed document review, and project management are essential. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in plan preparation and graphics development. The position will also include preparing proposals and marketing materials, attending meetings, collecting data, meeting with clients, and performing a variety of other tasks. Much of the work is technical and detail-oriented and candidates will be expected to meet high standards of professional quality and have excellent writing skills. The position will be located in Clarion’s downtown Denver office. Candidates must either live in Denver or be willing to relocate; teleworking is not available for this position. Some travel is an essential part of our practice.
Requirements: The candidate must have a master’s degree in urban planning with a minimum of six years of planning experience and a law degree. Attorneys with experience in land use law may also be considered for this position. The candidate must have excellent oral and written English communication skills and be able to work collaboratively. The candidate should also be highly organized and detail-oriented. Project management experience is strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Knowledge of ArcGIS, Sketch Up, InDesign, and Illustrator is helpful, but not required.
