DESCRIPTION
This role is responsible for conducting fundamental credit analysis for portfolio acquisition and ongoing surveillance within assigned sectors. This individual will also develop specific buy, sell and hold investment recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Director of Investment Research and/or Senior Investment Research Manager to make daily investment decisions with buy, sell and hold investment recommendations, which influence the short- and long-term success of the Unit Trust Division
• Work closely with the Unit Trust Portfolio & Inventory management team in fixed-income portfolio construction providing relative value investment research for over $2B in sales and 165 trusts annually
• Provide written and oral communication of credit opinions to Director of Investment Research, Senior Investment Research Manager and Unit Trust Portfolio & Inventory management team on a daily basis
• Conduct credit research and manage credit risk for assigned credits maintaining product integrity and protecting the Invesco Unit Trust brand
• Manage surveillance of assigned fixed-income, alternative income, sovereign and equity Unit Trust assets throughout the life of the trust
• Continuously seeking to improve investment research and surveillance processes for multiple asset classes – equity, municipal, corporate, sovereign and alternative income with AUS of $19B
• Collaborate with other Invesco Investment teams and Unit Trust teams including Product, Business Development, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Compliance
• Enhance sales by creating value added investment research
• Interface with investment research support and participate in key industry conferences/ organizations keeping abreast of current research trends
Work Experience:
• 3+ years directly related work experience in Fixed-Income Credit Analysis and/or the Investment Management Industry. Knowledge of municipal and corporate credit analysis preferred.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business-related degree preferred. MBA and/or CFA desirable.
License/Registration/Certifica
• Series 7 required within 90 days following the completion of training; Series 63 required within 90 days of obtaining Series 7 licensing; employment contingent upon licensing.
