Full-time position available. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The City of Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a highly motivated transportation planning professional to develop traffic demand model by using TransCAD or VISSIM. Develops the citywide transportation model. Maintains the area model submitted to the engineering consultants. Coordinates with local and state agencies in data exchange. Reviews the project model submitted by developers. Manages the training for other planning professionals. Updates the major plans and tests different scenarios. Attends meetings to present the results of traffic flow simulations. 

REQUIRES professional engineer registration. Within 6 months of hire date, must be registered as a professional engineer with the MO Board for Professional Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as prescribed by the City.
