Planning & Protective Services
The City of Jefferson is now accepting applications for Director of Planning & Protective
Services.
This management position oversees the Division of Planning and
Protective Services and advises various government entities, elected officials,
staff, consultants and the public on city planning and development. Planning
and Protective Services includes the functional areas of building inspections
and permits, code enforcement, environmental
health (restaurant, day care inspections), long-range/transportation planning, planning
and zoning, and redevelopment and
grants.
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration,
planning, civil engineering or a related field is required, supplemented by six
years of progressively responsible experience that includes planning and
program management, grant administration, budgeting, personnel supervision,
community relations and general management experience. An advanced
degree and certification by AICP or professional certification is preferred.
The annual salary range for this position is $80,990-$122,688 plus an
outstanding benefit package.
