As many of you know, the City of Detroit is currently under municipal
bankruptcy protection. Under the leadership of Emergency Manager Kevyn
Orr, the City has undertaken a number of operational restructuring
initiatives - all of which are designed to improve core service delivery to
residents and taxpayers. One such initiative has been the creation of a
centralized grants management/compliance department that will manage the
City's tens of millions in federal and state grants.
The Office of Grants Management (OGM) is a newly-formed, independent
department within the City's finance function. The City is currently
seeking strong candidates for the OGM's leadership team - specifically we
are looking for a department Director, Deputy Director and a Chief Revenue
Officer. These are senior positions that report directly to the CFO and
will have significant interaction with the Mayor's cabinet. Compensation is competitive.
