- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Experience specifically pertaining to transit and/or roadway and corridor planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GIS and INDESIGN
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Independently performs most assignments with instructions from Project Manager or Senior Planners as to the general results expected.
2. Confer with clients and engineering personnel on overall planning.
3. Compile and analyze data on site conditions, compliance reviews and facilitation and implementation of programs and services required by federal, state and local legislation.
4. Participate and lead in technology research efforts and discussions on various transit agency projects.
5. Develop technical design, memos, reports and presentation materials to summarize relevant to projects.
6. Inspects construction work in progress to ensure compliance with landscape specifications, to approve quality of materials and work, and to advise client and construction personnel on landscape features.
7. Participates on interdisciplinary teams, providing broad planning knowledge.
8. Attends and participates in public meeting, client meetings and interviews for conducting technology needs assessment activities.
