Statistician, National Agricultural Statistics Service - Various Locations

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is the data collection
and dissemination arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Ten of
their regional offices are hiring for statistician positions which require
a bachelor's degree with 15 credits in statistics (or in mathematics and
statistics, provided at least 6 credits were in statistics).

An agricultural background is not required but the statistics and/or math
credits must be completed or in progress. NASS is seeking to hire more
survey methodologists and PMPs, so those with survey methodology and
project management courses/experience are strongly urged to apply.

Vacancies are located in Austin, TX, Harrisburg, PA, Olympia, WA, East
Lansing, MI, Des Moines, IA, Lincoln, NE, Denver, CO, Louisville, KY,
Sacramento, CA, and St. Louis, MO. Salaries vary on the location of
the position
but all start at the GS-7, GS-9 and GS-11 levels. Benefits are excellent.
