Associate Director, Student Development Services
(Student Engagement Assessment and Commuter Student Advocacy)

The University of Illinois at Chicago has an opening for a senior staff member to design, administer and manage all assessment functions for the unit programs reporting to the Director of Student Development Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership for the direction of commuter resource and advocacy programs and processes
• Designs and administers assessment instruments and assist unit programs in the development of   student engagement and learning programs, supporting the division-wide assessment plan, and     formulating annual assessment goals.
• Monitors trends in assessment.
• Develops educational programs including workshops related to commuter student advocacy and the       Commuter Student Resource Center.
• Identifies and develops community partnerships for students.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of commuter services including off-campus housing, commuter-related seminars (safety, sustainability) and transportation resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, applicants must possess a Master's degree in educational leadership and policy studies, college student personnel or a related field. Working knowledge of student development and adult learner theory is essential, with a minimum 5-years' experience in Student Affairs or educational program planning. Supervisory experience with budget responsibility, with strong organizational, leadership and project management skills are required. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are a must; as is experience working with Microsoft Access and Excel.
