Assistant Planner
The County of Will
The County of Will seeks candidates for an Assistant Planner position to serve as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Individuals with experience in preparing development reviews and who possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include the administration of the County's Zoning Ordinance and Land Resource Management Plan; permit application reviews; preparation of professional planning reviews for developments; presentation of staff reports to the Planning and Zoning Commission; preparation of ordinance amendments and other written reports; and frequent interaction with the public.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning or directly related field. Prior urban and regional planning experience and a master's degree in urban and regional planning or directly related field are preferred.
