Admin. Asst. (Part-Time), East Village Youth Program - Chicago

East Village Youth Program is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our staff in September 2013. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to the Executive Director in tasks including but not limited to: entry-level development activities such as donor database management or donor stewardship, monthly financial closeouts, filing and photocopying, ordering supplies, entry-level marketing such as assisting with online newsletter and other duties as assigned.

*As the Administrative Assistant for East Village Youth Program, you’ll:*

*·         **Oversee the donor database housed in e-Tapestry, ensuring the
integrity of the data and the timely processing of donations and grants;***

*·         **As needed, work on various fundraising activities including
but not limited to: basic grant writing,  basic grant report writing,
donor stewardship,  special event planning and coordinating donor meetings
at the request of the Executive Director;***

*·         **In collaboration with the EVYP Accountant complete monthly
financial closeout and produce any necessary financial reports as needed by
the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors;***

*·         **Under the direction of the Executive Director contribute to
creating an external brand for EVYP by assisting in activities including
but not limited to: writing/designing an online newsletter, managing EVYP’s
Facebook and other social media accounts, making basic updates to the EVYP
website, etc.;***

*·         **Provide administrative support as needed to the Executive
Director to ensure the success of operations and EVYP programming including
but not limited to: filing and photocopying, ordering supplies, scheduling
meetings, Board meeting and retreat preparation, etc.;***

·         Other duties as assigned.
*Requirements:
**Minimum Associate’s degree with a background or familiarity working in a
community-based non-profit. Preference given to candidates who have
experience working with donor database systems and/or accounting systems. **
