Program Coordinator

Women Employed (WE) is a 39-year-old advocacy organization whose mission is to improve women’s economic status. With a focus on low-paid working women, we are a leader in promoting fair employment practices and increasing access to training and education leading to good jobs. WE is seeking a Program Coordinator to work with the organization’s Executive Director, Marketing Director, and Communications Associate, providing administrative support, conducting research, executing writing and social media projects, and assisting with development and maintenance of the organization’s website. This is an ideal position for a candidate interested in learning non-profit management and marketing.

Responsibilities:
Supporting the Executive Director in executing key projects and day-to-day activities including conducting specific research projects and tasks, composing correspondence, handling logistics and preparing materials for external activities, scheduling, Board relations;Assisting the Director of Marketing and the Communications Associate with administrative andproject-related work including the website, social media, publications, event marketing and materials; Providing support to Board and Executive Committee members, and communicating with donors, Board members, Marketing Committee members, project volunteers, and external partners.All Women Employed staff members participate in organizational development, planning, and fundraising activities.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; minimum two years of professional experience; attention to detail and high level of accuracy; ability to take initiative and perform tasks with minimal supervision; excellent written and oral communications skills; highly organized; flexible; demonstrated experience planning and prioritizing work and maintaining workflows and schedules; solid knowledge of Microsoft products, and comfort with databases.Women Employed offers competitive benefits, including fully paid health and life insurance.
