Minimum Requirements: -BS or higher in environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or related field plus-10 years experience in planning, permitting, compliance, monitoring, or auditing.
Job Description:
This position includes a range of technical, project management, and business development responsibilities, including the following:
• Perform as Project Manager or Senior Project Scientist on a variety of environmental permitting projects;
• Identify, pursue, and develop opportunities with URS’ private sector and public sector clients with a focus on environmental permitting/certification opportunities for pipeline and other energy sector clients;
• Assist with proposal efforts for major project opportunities in conjunction with URS’ Gulf Coast and national pipeline team;
• Develop and maintain relationships within URS’ national pipeline and environmental permitting teams to ensure a seamless service delivery team for our clients and to diversify URS Houston’s permitting offerings; and
• Provide technical support for projects by performing research; compiling plans, reports, and permit applications (e.g., EAs, EISs, other NEPA and FERC documents, resource management plans, habitat conservation, SPCC plans, RCRA and CERCLA reports, land use plans, socioeconomic studies, and archeological studies); tracking regulatory development; inspecting construction areas; conducting training; and conducting field surveys.
