Who: The Illinois Commerce Commission’s Executive Director’s Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Market Development Associate for their Office of Retail Market Development in Cook County at 160 North LaSalle, Ste. C-800, Chicago, Illinois.
What: The selected candidate will assist the Director by actively seeking out ways to promote retail competition in Illinois to benefit all Illinois consumers, reviewing and analyzing policy issues in the utility industries; providing expert policy advice to the Commission; and working with other divisions to anticipate potential challenges and develop solutions.
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, finance, economics, engineering, or other closely related field; at least two years of experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing statistical data; at least one year of relevant regulatory or utility experience; superior oral and written English communication skills; and extensive knowledge of the personal computer and Windows applications are also required.
The Market Development Associate position is represented by AFSCME and is an RC-62, grade 19
position with a salary range of $4612 to $6990 per month. The hours of work are anticipated to be
8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one hour lunch period and two 15 minute
breaks.
