USDA Program Specialist (2), Boston

USDA, Food & Nutrition Service (FNS), Northeast Region is seeking to fill two (2) Program Specialist  vacancies in the Boston office in the Special Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly the Food Stamp Program. The incumbent will be responsible for disseminating program rules, guidance, and policy; conducting reviews of State agency operations to ensure compliance with program regulations and procedures;  preparing trend analysis; identifying problem areas; and proposing recommendations to senior officials for improvements in program operations.

The goal is to identify a well-qualified and diverse pool of candidates so the USDA can appoint an individuals who will serve the needs of our partners as we continue to work together to achieve our Agency mission.  FNS seeks to increase food security and reduce hunger by providing children and low income people with access to food, a healthy diet and nutrition education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public confidence.
