The Chicago Department
of Transportation is seeking to hire student interns to help plan bike lanes
and establish a bike sharing program in Chicago.
Duties include but are
not limited to the following:
- Planning locations for bike sharing stations
- Conducting detailed field surveys to collect data needed for new bike lanes
- Identifying required upgrades to existing bikeways
- Assisting CDOT staff with other bike projects
Salary:
$8.25/hour for college
freshman; $9.00/hour for sophomores; $10.00/hour for juniors; $11.00/hour for
seniors; $12.00/hour for graduate students
Salary is based upon
grade level completed at the time of hire.
NOTE: This is a temporary
position. Students will be expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per
week.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Students majoring in Urban Planning. Experience with ArcGIS/ArcView, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel.
