The Coordinator of Alumni Relations reports to the Executive Director,
Urban Health Program, Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for
Academic Affairs. The Coordinator’s major duties are to implement programs
to foster effective alumni communications; collaborate with alumni fund
raising efforts; recruit alumni and student volunteers, as well as
formulate, initiate and implement strategies to increase alumni support
for UHP initiatives; generate and maintain the UHP student data and alumni
database; provide support to all UHP Program Offices by running data
reports and assisting others to run reports; provide technical oversight,
training and support of data-centered web applications and other related
resources; develop an online survey and reporting to track UHP students
and alumni; coordinate all relevant materials for maintaining a UHP Alumni
resources website; and perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree, Masters preferred; minimum of
2 years related experience in an academic environment, preferably in the
area of student/alumni services. Experience with large database
development and maintenance, client server and internet-based technology;
experience with coordinating large events; experience in establishing
partnerships with key corporations and private foundations. The incumbent
must have excellent writing skills; strong organizational skills; a
passion and enthusiasm for working with health professional students and
underserved/underrepresented populations; and a good work ethic. The ideal
candidate must have very good technical skills; be able to communicate
well with technical and non-technical faculty and staff; be well organized
and possess problem solving abilities.
