Coordinator of Research Programs
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago seeks an individual to coordinate research development and pre-award activities. Responsibilities include monitoring potential funding sources and identifying suitable projects based on faculty expertise/interests, assisting with proposal development and submission, developing and implementing policies and procedures for multi-departmental/institutional proposal submissions, preparing budgets and forms compliant with UIC and external sponsor guidelines, and assisting with internal proposal routing and submission via electronic portals. Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in technical science or communications and a minimum of approximately 3 years experience in pre-award research administration. We are seeking a talented individual who will grow within the position and assist the faculty in expanding the research footprint of the Department.
