BikeForce: E-Bike Technologies Workforce Development Program targets students in their late
teens and provides training around a wave of technologies ushering in a transportation
revolution in our society, inclusive of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, e-bikes, and
e-scooters. The program will focus on emerging transportation technologies, such as e-bikes,
e-scooters, battery systems, and electric motors and will apprentice teens and young adults in
the North Lawndale neighborhood in Chicago to gain the skill sets leading to living wage and
career oriented opportunities and/or entrepreneurial opportunities. The next iteration of this
program will be a summer program in North Lawndale.
Position Overview: As an E-Bike Program Instructor for a youth workforce development
program focused on e-bikes, e-scooters, and other e-mobility equipment technology, mechanics,
and repair, this position will be responsible for developing lesson plans, providing in-person
instruction and hands-on training to youth participants. This role will involve teaching practical
skills, delivering engaging lessons, and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
