Salary: $44,740 - $87,395 per year

Appointment type: Recent Graduates - The initial length of the job is one year but may become permanent.

Summary: 

Are you a graduating student or a recent grad?  Join our Pathways Recent Graduate Program! This one-year program offers professional and technical training, mentoring and developmental opportunities. We are currently filling multiple vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Who We Are Looking For: Recent Graduates: If you completed a qualifying degree within the previous two years, you may apply. If you are a veteran who was prevented from applying during the 2-year period due to your military service, you may apply if your degree was completed within the last 6 years. Enrolled students: If you will complete your degree requirements by June 30, 2023, you may apply.

Duties: 

At GSA, our Program Analysts perform the following duties:

  • Analyze program issues and apply analytical techniques such as task analysis, work simplification, work-flow charts, workload measurement, and organizational practices to determine the most effective methodology needed to meet program goals
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to research and gather narrative and/or statistical information and applicable work methods and procedures to meet deadlines and carry out fact-finding and analysis of issues
  • Apply basic analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature
  • Conduct basic studies of statistical, descriptive, or evaluative information, materials, and data, to choose, interpret or adapt available guidelines to specific issues or subjects studied regarding the attainment of the goals of limited projects
  • Identify and develop data required for use by higher level analysts in the management and direction of programs
  • Assist higher level analysts in preparing briefings to management and/or senior staff employee(s) on study findings and recommendations
Who We Are Looking For:  

Talented, motivated students who are looking to build their career at GSA, and who:
  • Will graduate by June 30, 2023.
  • Will be available to start work in August 2023.
  • Have graduated within the past 2 years (or within 6 years for eligible veterans)
  • Are U.S. Citizens (As a federal agency, all of our employees must be U.S. Citizens)
Requirements:  

Conditions of Employment

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)

If you participate in our Pathways Recent Graduates program, you will be required to:

  • Receive at least 40 hours of formal training directly linked to your employment field in addition to soft skill training
  • Serve a trial period, which will allow your supervisor to evaluate your conduct and performance on the job and determine if our appointment will become final
  • Sign a participant agreement
  • This position may require both written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish languages.
Qualifications: 

Education: 

In order to be placed in a permanent position after completing the Pathways Recent Graduates program, you must:
  1. Meet the qualification requirements for the position you are being placed in.
  2. Maintain an acceptable performance under GSA's approved performance management system.
  3. Receive a favorable recommendation from your supervisor at the end of the program.
  4. Meet all the training and development requirements outlined in the GSA Pathways policy.

GSA is not obligated to make an offer of permanent employment to you after you have completed the Program.

Relocation expenses will NOT be paid.
