POSITION TITLE: Digital Excellence Program Manager - NCP

PAY RANGE/GRADE: Commensurate with experience/Grade 7

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Digital Excellence Program Manager is responsible for management, coordination and implementation of the key strategies identified in the Digital Excellence planning process as they pertain to the Humboldt Park New Communities Program (NCP) and the Humboldt Park Quality-of-Life Plan. This position interacts with multiple local and city partners to coordinate implementation of all aspects of the Digital Excellence program. In all instances the Digital Excellence Program Manager must perform in accordance with and be committed to the Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage and coordinate the implementation of all facets of the strategies identified in the Humboldt Park Digital Excellence planning process, with particular attention to the Humboldt Hub portal.

2. Take the lead in creating and maintaining the Humboldt Park NCP website to fulfill Digital Excellence and HP Quality of Life Plan strategies and objectives around vision, access, timeliness, utility, technical application, and interactivity.

3. Work in collaboration with the NCP Program Director, NCP Outreach Worker, and/or Bickerdike staff to create, maintain, and update content for the NCP website.

4. Act in an advisory capacity, in collaboration with Bickerdike staff, to ensure that Bickerdike’s electronic and communications efforts complement the objectives of the Humboldt Park NCP and the Digital Excellence program, particularly around vision, access, timeliness, utility, technical application, and interactivity of websites.

5. Work in collaboration with the Bickerdike Communications Coordinator to help coordinate community-related electronic communications pertaining to NCP activities.

6. Coordinate and generate content on behalf of NCP’s initiatives for internal and external distribution, including articles for electronic or print newsletters, LISC’s central NCP website, and other community websites and media.

7. Build and maintain key relationships with local partners, including community technology centers, schools, libraries, community organizations, and all other points of digital access in the neighborhood to facilitate meeting the goals of the Digital Excellence program for Humboldt Park.

8. Build and maintain key relationships with corporate technology partners engaged in the Digital Excellence program to facilitate meeting the goals of the program for Humboldt Park.

9. Leverage new opportunities and/or resources that may come into the community toward Digital Excellence strategies and objectives.

10. Manage continuing cooperation and work of all partners in the local Digital Excellence project through convening and staffing of regular meetings.

11. Oversee and play a role in efforts to ensure the phasing and implementation of the project, and recommend adjustments when warranted.

12.Identify and implement opportunities for new programs and collaborations within the local Digital Excellence effort.

13. Create and maintain a regular communications schedule with regard to NCP programs and activities, and in collaboration with appropriate staff, targeting key content for distribution via web-based and electronic media as appropriate.

14. Serve as a point person for LISC’s team of scribes.

15. Represent the local Digital Excellence project at meetings.

16. Oversee program funding disbursements and report on financial activities related to the project.

17. Prepare written reports on local Digital Excellence activities documenting the impact of the project’s effectiveness.

18. Generate partners' commitment to new priorities and implementation efforts related to the project.

19. Engage as an active part of the NCP staffing team, assist with NCP related administrative support, as required.

20. Work with consultants and other nonprofit organizations on program implementation as appropriate.

21. Collaborate with other organizations and staff engaged in Digital Excellence program citywide.

22. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree is required; with degree in community development or a technology-related field preferred. At least 5 years experience working in a community-based organization or in a relevant technology-related position. A proven track record in program implementation required as well as strong project management skills. The demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams in a diverse setting a must. Excellent writing and oral presentation skills. Strong computer skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. Bilingual Spanish-English written and verbal skills preferred.

REPORTING RELATIONS: Under the direct supervision of the NCP Program Director.
