Assistant Director for Student Services: University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) School of Public Health

The UIC School of Public Health seeks applications for the position of Assistant Director for Student Services. The Assistant Director is responsible for representing the broad spectrum of student concerns and for creating and managing innovative programs and services that provide a high quality, student-oriented school environment. The coordinator will oversee financial aid programs and policies at the School and will assist students with identifying sources of financial aid, financial aid application processes, and with debt management. The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating student development programs, services, and related evaluation efforts for the following departments: Financial Aid programs, Leadership Programs, Student Organizations, New Student Programs and special events.
This is a continuous full-time 12-month position.

Minimum Education and Work Experiences:
Bachelor's Degree, Masters preferred. 5 years of experience in a tertiary educational setting with expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: student support services, admissions, student registration, student records, graduation, institutional research etc. An internal knowledge of the UIC campus environment as well as UIC registration, student services and financial aid processes and systems is essential. Candidate must be well versed in UIC Banner Screens relating to registration and financial aid as well as experience and proficiency in the use and management of student data information systems.
Computer literate with substantial knowledge of excel, word, database management and outcomes assessment. Must possess strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
