Program Officer - The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation (Chicago)

Who: Through its grantmaking and participation in Chicago’s civic and cultural life, The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation (the foundation) seeks to improve Chicago’s built environment, support cultural stewardship in the arts, strengthen democracy through investigative journalism, and advance economic opportunity for the working poor. The foundation grants approximately $5,000,000 a year to Chicago-area organizations through two funding programs: Driehaus Foundation Grants and The MacArthur Funds for Arts and Culture at The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.

What: The foundation seeks a Program Officer to manage a portion of The MacArthur Funds for Arts and Culture at The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation portfolio and the Economic Opportunity for the Working Poor portfolio. This is a full-time position, based in Chicago, and reporting to the foundation’s Executive Director. Responsibilities include:

Community Planner - Federal Transit Administration

Who: Office of Planning and Program Development, Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Region V, Chicago

What: This office is responsible for the oversight of state/local planning and programming activities leading up to and including the award of all grants related to all FTA programs. You will also be responsible for assisting in the administration of regional activities related to project development. Project development activities include assisting grantees and other local and State agencies in compliance with FTA, state and metropolitan planning regulations, and compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) is excited to share

Partnerships to Improve Community Health (PICH).

PICH is a multi-million dollar grant supporting implementation of
interventions leading to policy, systems and environmental changes
addressing the leading risk factors associated with chronic disease.
Interventions in suburban Cook County, Illinois will focus on advancement
of smoke-free housing, healthy corner store conversions, active
transportation plans and policies, enhanced physical education in schools,
and strengthened clinical-community linkages.
