PROJECT COORDINATOR (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE)

Description
The Project Coordinator manages components of projects, programs, or initiatives of the Division on Domestic Violence (DDV). Projects may include new program development and implementation, domestic violence system change or capacity building projects, and system change initiatives require cross-agency/ cross-partner collaboration. The position oversees a portfolio of programs that deliver services to gender-based violence survivors, monitors grant funding and program budgets, and reporting project performance outcomes. The Project Coordinator also supports DDV policy, planning, and project management efforts by researching and staying abreast of best practices and may serve as a DDV representative in collaborative projects lead by other partners.
Essential Duties
- Serves as a project or program manager for DDV portfolio of projects and initiatives regarding gender based violence such as but not limited to domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault
- Assist staff and work operations to ensure established goals and objectives are met
- Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of program operations
- Participates in preparing project or program operating budgets and monitors budget expenditures
- Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation
- Develops marketing strategies to encourage participation in City projects and programs
- Monitors project and program expenditures, audits and approves contractor and consultant vouchers for payment
- Acts as a liaison with City departments, public and private agencies, and business organizations to secure commitments in providing services to program participants, sharing program information, and obtaining additional funding support
- Monitors and provides direction to consultants engaged in administering program activities
- Collects and analyzes project data for performance and outcomes
- Prepares narrative and statistical program status reports
- Attends community, civic and business organization meetings to promote department programs or Citywide initiatives

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, plus three years of experience in program administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Selection Criteria
This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral part of the interview will be selected
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
- Previous project management experience or training in gender-based violence services such as but not limited to domestic violence, human trafficking, or sexual assault.
- Previous experience working in the gender-based violence field.
- Previous experience working with service agencies and providing technical assistance.
- Previous experience with service agency program monitoring and fiscal auditing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
