About the Position
 
The Business Development Office Associate role will be central to supporting the Bureau's core business attraction efforts. Business Development leverages many contracts, associations, and trade services to make Illinois an attractive place for the business community and this role would play a major role in helping to manage the Bureau's administrative responsibilities. Business Development has grown significantly in the number of programs that are being offered by the state including Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE), Reimagining Electric Vehicle (REV) Act, Data Centers, High Impact Businesses and much more. This exciting job offers our ideal candidate the opportunity to mange the office and administrative functions that support Business Development in being a successful and impactful office. Minimum Qualifications
 
1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience. 
2. Requires ability to type accurately at 45 wpm.
 
Preferred Qualifications
1. Requires extensive knowledge of office practices procedures and programs.
2. Requires extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
3. Prefers intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint).
4. Prefer two (2) or more years of professional experience proofreading documents for appropriate punctuation, grammar, spelling and typographical errors.
