The Village of Glenview (pop. 45,029) seeks an innovative and energetic professional to assist various departments in project management, budget analysis, process analysis and special projects.

The Management Analyst supports department directors in the daily administrative functions of the Department by analyzing and interpreting complex or ambiguous data, and using independent judgment in order to develop recommendations, providing detailed program and data analysis, drafting reports and presentations for senior management and the Village Board, researching best practices and industry trends and identifying and recommending areas for improvement, serving on and leading inter-departmental committees, drafting and maintaining policies and/or standard operating procedures, developing and monitoring departmental budgets, supporting Department’s contract administration duties, analyzing Village’s business processes and recommending process improvements assisting with Department’s record keeping activities in accordance with federal and state statutory requirements, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers both in person and via telephone, representing the Department and/or Village at special events or inter-governmental meetings, developing and presenting public presentations, as necessary, and performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, research analysis, or closely-related field. Master’s degree a plus, but not required. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of one to three years of related work experience; and candidates with previous local government work experience in an analyst or administrative role are preferred. A working knowledge of municipal government or previous work experience in the public sector is also preferred. The successful candidate will be dependable, have a solid work ethic, and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to public service. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. The ability to provide timely, professional customer service to both internal/external stakeholders is an absolute must. Successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and medical screening, which will include a drug screen.
