This is a term appointment limited to 2 years. May be extended an additional 2 years.
Major Duties:
The incumbent will have responsibility for the Schaumburg
training function and overall administration by
coordinating the day to day operations. You will serve as training
resource to management and Corporate University and report to the
Associate Chief Learning Officer in the Dallas Learning Center.
Ensure a strong working relationship with senior leaders and
supervisors in the operational and support organizations located in
Schaumburg.
You will oversee the coordination and scheduling of Corporate
University training classes in Schaumburg, IL. You will prepare
reports as needed by the ACLO and other supervisors and managers.
Make arrangements relating to training sessions held
or sponsored or in coordination with Corporate University including
obtaining supplies, accommodations, course materials, and other
related duties.
You will exercise responsibility for the identification and
development of courses required to meet the specialized needs of the
Schaumburg office. Work with the Dallas Learning Center and other
Corporate University training staff to develop and implement training
policies and programs. Incumbent will maintain the automated system
to be used for producing reports and researching training schedules,
nominations, career development information, individual employee
training records, lists of eligible candidates by course, list of
employees who have complete scheduled training by course, and
updating personnel changes. Will operate and schedule Video
Teleconferencing. The incumbent also will produce reports for the
ACLO Dallas Learning Center regarding all training logistics and
activities in the Schaumburg location. Travel will be required on
occasion to Dallas and Virginia for meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications and Evaluations:
There is no substitution for specialized experience at this grade
level.

Production Coordinator
Production Coordinator
Community Weatherization Partners, LLC, an entity formed by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and Enterprise Community Partners (Enterprise), seeks a mid-level professional to fill the position of Production Coordinator.
The New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) has awarded LISC and Enterprise, through Community Weatherization Partners, LLC, a $15 million contract to be a temporary subgrantee to weatherize over 2,100 units of low-income multifamily housing throughout New York City. LISC and Enterprise have partnered with NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to implement the program.
The Production Coordinators will manage the day-to-day field operations related to their respective projects and will ensure that field operations are handled in accordance with Community Weatherization Partners, LLC Guidelines. The Production Coordinator will be an employee of LISC. This is an 18-month position under the DHCR contract, funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus funds. The term of employment is for the length of the contract.
Responsibilities
• Manage a pipeline of buildings to be weatherized in accordance with Community Weatherization Partners, LLC guidelines, which includes, but is not limited to the following:
o Participate in developing bid packages and selecting technical partners and contractors;
o Work closely with sponsors/building owners to collect information and coordinate construction;
o Complete applications for all units in the building to be weatherized;
o Document tenant income or category eligibility;
o Complete weatherization application/file for every household;
o Complete Energy Information and collect information regarding servicing of the building/unit’s heating plant and utility that supplies electric services;
o Complete owner agreement form for each building;
o Verify ownership of each building;
o Document subgrantee and owner signed Permission to Enter Building form; and
o Complete Apartment Building Work Summary for all buildings which lists all materials and labor costs associated with work scope and total building costs.
• Support the Program Coordinator in project management, which includes:
o Manage subcontractor contracts
o Oversee technical partners and contractors work in each building;
o Manage owner investment/contribution; and
o Manage Audit Fees from owner.
• Work closely with the Weatherization Director and Program Coordinator to resolve issues related to contractual relationships, production schedule, quality of work, compliance, etc.
• Interface with HPD staff to facilitate work at HPD project sites.
• Prepare all documents for and participate in the DHCR, DOE, and HPD field reviews.
• Participate in Davis-Bacon compliance.
• Work closely with LISC weatherization staff to submit all required documentation and ensure complete requisition packages for payment.
• Collect data related to energy consumption for post-completion energy assessment.
• Support building sponsors in their application to HPD for HOME funds, which includes, but is not limited to:
o Conduct sponsor review; and
o Respond to Landmarks review.
• Participate in DHCR sponsor training.
• Track production progress of units in weatherization pipeline; share data with Data Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum four years experience in residential real estate development and/or asset management, preferably in an affordable housing setting, or experience implementing new programs or initiatives. Minimum three years of experience with a graduate degree in urban planning, real estate, public administration, or business.
2. Working experience with DHCR and NYSERDA preferred
3. Experience in construction, property and asset management.
4. Experience with contracts.
5. Ability to manage multiple and varied construction projects with strong attention to detail – must be highly organized.

Background: Humboldt Park Social Services is a small, but rapidly growing housing and supportive service agency that works with the homeless and disadvantaged in the Humboldt Park and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago.
Position Overview: The Employment Specialist works one on one with clients and coordinates with the employment team to connect clients to employment opportunities. The goal of the employment program is to develop relationships with clients to that will prepare and resource them to obtain employment in available job opportunities. This position is an outcomes oriented position, with specific expectations around the number of clients seen each month, the number of clients placed into jobs and the documentation required to prove such activities.
Specific Position Responsibilities:
1. Provide employment counseling one on one with a diverse population of clients to assess skills and challenges, interests and goals and to draft individual employment plans for clients’ long and short term employment goals.
2. Serve as a resource to clients in the employment process, assisting with resume writing, job search and applications, and interviewing techniques.
3. Coordinates with the Training and Retention Specialist to identifying training needs and refer clients to educational opportunities, classroom training, on-the-job training, and/or other vocational training as is appropriate.
4. Identifies clients’ barriers to employment and assists clients in overcoming those barriers by making appropriate referrals to internal and external service providers, following up with clients to ensure that supportive services are being accessed.
5. Coordinates with the Job Developer and the Training and Retention Specialist to match clients with available employment and training opportunities and to employ retention strategies, including intensive follow-up so clients maintain employment.
6. Advocate for and educate clients around their rights and responsibilities, policies and procedures in the workplace, and navigating benefits and salary negotiations.
7. Maintains meticulous, up-to-date and comprehensive documentation of client interactions and activities, inputting information into automated systems (HMIS and ETO), organizing case files, maintaining and updating records on client employment, training, and follow-up activities and submitting regular outcome based reports.
8. Networks with other service providers and workforce development programs, as necessary, attending meetings concerning employment-related issues and representing Humboldt Park Social Services at events.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, sociology, counseling, vocational guidance, or other field related to workforce development.
• At least one year of experience in a workforce development program or at least two years of related direct service and advocacy work in the community setting with clients with barriers to housing and employment.
• Knowledge of the non-profit sector and workforce development programs that aim to secure quality, living wage jobs for at-risk individuals and families;
• Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and comfortable completing reports and maintaining orderly and complete files.

Technology Manager
The Technology Manager develops and maintains Active Trans’ websites, databases, and other office technology. The Technology Manager is responsible for the look and functionality of our online presence and email marketing campaigns. Maintain and update Active Trans’s portfolio of websites. Design and develop new websites as needed.

The Technology Manager develops and maintains Active Trans’ websites, databases, and other office technology. The Technology Manager is responsible for the look and functionality of our online presence and email marketing campaigns. Developing and managing the organization’s CRM database is also a key job responsibility. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain and update Active Trans’s portfolio of websites. Design and develop new websites as needed.
· Maintain Activetrans.org, which runs on Drupal 6.
· Maintain Bikethedrive.org, which runs on Wordpress 2.8.
· Maintain other sites using Dreamweaver and FTP
· When new sites are required, determine needs to determine if a CMS will be needed or if static pages developed in Dreamweaver will be necessary. Develop new site accordingly
· Maintain domain registry entries for all sites, and SSL certificates for sites that need them
· Run weekly backups of all websites to our local server
· Develop HTML email templates and messages. Understand the limitations of HTML as displayed in various email clients, and limitations of what the bulk email system can do.
· Manage and report on website traffic using Google Analytics
· Increase website traffic by managing Google Adwords campaigns
Maintain membership/donor/constituent database
· Serve as primary contact with CRM vendor
· Manage CRM vendor’s development timelines. Ensure on-time delivery of customizations.
· Implement and maintain website/CRM integration
· Train staff on usage of CRM system
· Assist staff in the creation of reports in CRM system.
Keep office workstations, printers, and servers secure and in good working order. Manage network administrator.
· Manage and maintain Windows Small Business server
· Manage relationship with server monitoring, support, and backup vendor.
· Maintain a group of 25-30 windows PCs
· Spec out and order new hardware as needed
· Wire up new junction boxes for network and phone connections in the office as needed.
· Train users to access the network remotely
Find or develop new and innovative ways to use technology to interact with our members and other constituents.
· Read nonprofit technology blogs and forums, find out what other nonprofits are doing and use insights to improve our work
· Keep membership with NTEN (nonprofit technology network) and attend webinars and conferences
· Keep abreast of new trends in technology
Potential for Technology Manager to supervise staff Graphic Designer.
Qualifications
· Experience designing, building, and maintaining websites and content management systems. Direct experience with Drupal highly preferred.
· Direct experience with XTHML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and Apache web servers
· Experience with electronic communication (building HTML e-mail templates)
· Experience with Small Business Server 2003/2008 and related software, including Exchange Server 2007 and Trend Micro AV. Experience configuring Sonicwall VPN devices a plus.
· Familiarity with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Direct experience with Z2 Systems’ NEON CRM preferred.
· Relational database skills, including MySQL and Microsoft Access.
· Strong desktop support skills, including ability to troubleshoot PCs, Macs, printers, and software
· Experience with related tools including SSH, FTP, Remote Desktop, and Telnet

The John W.
