Job Summary:
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)

This position is located in the FDIC Corporate
University, Midwest Temporary Satellite Office,
of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and
provides support in the areas of methods and
techniques of instruction.
The candidate selected will be offered a term
appointment not-to-exceed 2 years,
which may be extended to a maximum of four years
based on management needs.

Position Information:

This is a term appointment limited to 2 years. May be extended an additional 2 years.
Major Duties:
The incumbent will have responsibility for the Schaumburg
training function and overall administration by
coordinating the day to day operations. You will serve as training
resource to management and Corporate University and report to the
Associate Chief Learning Officer in the Dallas Learning Center.
Ensure a strong working relationship with senior leaders and
supervisors in the operational and support organizations located in
Schaumburg.
You will oversee the coordination and scheduling of Corporate
University training classes in Schaumburg, IL. You will prepare
reports as needed by the ACLO and other supervisors and managers.
Make arrangements relating to training sessions held
or sponsored or in coordination with Corporate University including
obtaining supplies, accommodations, course materials, and other
related duties.
You will exercise responsibility for the identification and
development of courses required to meet the specialized needs of the
Schaumburg office. Work with the Dallas Learning Center and other
Corporate University training staff to develop and implement training
policies and programs. Incumbent will maintain the automated system
to be used for producing reports and researching training schedules,
nominations, career development information, individual employee
training records, lists of eligible candidates by course, list of
employees who have complete scheduled training by course, and
updating personnel changes. Will operate and schedule Video
Teleconferencing. The incumbent also will produce reports for the
ACLO Dallas Learning Center regarding all training logistics and
activities in the Schaumburg location. Travel will be required on
occasion to Dallas and Virginia for meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications and Evaluations:
There is no substitution for specialized experience at this grade
level.
Under law, FDIC may not employ any person who

participating in the affairs of any insured
depository institution pursuant to any final
enforcement action by any appropriate Federal
banking agency;
3) demonstrated a pattern or practice of
defalcation regarding obligations to insured
depository institutions; or
4) caused a substantial loss, in an amount in
excess of $50,000, to Federal deposit insurance
funds.
FDIC employees, their spouses, and minor
children are also prohibited from acquiring,
owning, or controlling, directly or indirectly,
a security of an FDIC-insured depository
institution, or an affiliate of an FDIC-insured
depository institution.
Only United States citizens and nationals
(residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
are eligible for appointment to competitive
service jobs.
Moderate Risk Position--Minimum Background
Investigation (MBI) Required.

Applicant must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 12 level in the Federal service as described below:
(1)Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary
school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment
in the appropriate field(s); (2)Supervising or administering a
training program; (3)Development or review of training/course
materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results;
or (4)Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position
to be filled that required training or instructing others on a
regular basis.
