Community Engagement Specialist at BP2025 - Remote

What we're looking for

As a Volunteer Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and well-organized online community for BP2025. Working closely with the Community Operations Manager, you will ensure smooth member interactions, monitor communications, and address concerns to maintain a positive and respectful space.

List of Activities

  • Actively engage with BP2025 community members on Discord, fostering an inclusive, supportive and well-organized environment.

  • Draft, monitor, and implement communications on Discord, ensuring alignment with BP2025’s approved guidelines and policies.

  • Act as a liaison between the community and leadership, sharing user feedback and advocating for member needs.

  • Enforce community guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

  • Collaborate with the Community Operations Team on community events, addressing member concerns and operational challenges to support BP2025 growth.

  • Provide reports on community engagement metrics, support ticket trends, and key insights to guide engagement strategy.

  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings to stay informed on team priorities and updates.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10+ hours per week, depending on community needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing & engaging with online communities, preferably on Discord

  • Experience with support tools like Zendesk, Slack, or similar platforms for ticket management and team communication.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating engaging, guideline-compliant content and resolving member inquiries.

  • Proficiency with technical tools and the ability to work independently, with basic troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of community management best practices, with an emphasis on fostering inclusivity and engagement.

  • Analytical skills to identify trends in member feedback or issues that may require escalation or adjustments.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.

  • Passion for BP2025’s mission and commitment to creating a safe and welcoming online space.

  • Attendance at bi-weekly Community Operations team meetings.
