Social Service Program Planner - State of Illinois



Who: State of Illinois

What: Subject to management approval of the Regional Administrator, Region Five, Bureau of Community Support Services, Division of Family & Community Services, Illinois Department of Human Services, serves as Team Leader, organizes, plans, and directs staff toward the completion of quality assurance, certifications, and compliance monitoring activities, and assistance with GA TA to bureaus/programs for statewide programs assigned to the work unit. Participates as the Team Leader/Specialist by providing complex inputs into work unit accomplishments and providing technical assistance, training and support to professional staff serving as Community Support Services Consultants (CSSC). Travels statewide in performance of duties, with some overnight.

Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration, supplemented by a master's degree in a related field. Requires two years of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work or in program planning and development. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires a valid driver's license; extensive travel is required with some overnight. Requires ability to complete program, fiscal and administrative reviews.

Specialized Skills

Of the two years of progressively responsible professional experience, requires two years of experience providing technical assistance, contractual monitoring and quality assurance program reviews to community-based providers. Requires extensive knowledge of Contract Service Agreements and deliverables, Administrative Rules, Program Plans, Budgets, Expenditure Documentation Fonn/Periodic Financial Reporting requirements, Central Repository Vault, eCornerstone, V- Stone, Program and Homeless Services Portal. Requires extensive knowledge of Outlook and Microso.ft Office Applications (i.e., Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel Spreadsheets).

Full Bargaining Unit Range - $66,280.00- $ 103,440.00
