Public Service Administrator, Section Manager and Individual Assistance Officer - State of Illinois



Who: State of Illinois

What: Under administrative direction of the Bureau Chief, Bureau of Recovery Operations, as a policy implementing manager; organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the operation of Agency's Individual Assistance Programs; Individual Assistance Programs include but are not limited to the Emergency Management Assistance Program, Individual Assistance Programs, Long-Term Community Recovery Programs, and All Hazards Strategic Planning; supervises staff; serves as Individual Assistance Officer during disaster recovery operations. Travels throughout state to represent supervisor.
Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in, business and public administration. Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Requires ability to travel.


Prefers 1-2 years experience in emergency management or a related field. Prefers Illinois Emergency Managers Accreditation.


Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact: Anticipated Starting Salary: $6414 - 6835 per month


Current bargaining unit employees: CBA language applies


Full Bargaining Unit Range: $6414 - $9816 per month


Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
