Full-time position available. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 

Analyzes submitted building data and prepares annual reports summarizing energy and water use data submitted pursuant to the ordinance. Provides guidance, training, and technical assistance to the regulated community of building owners, managers, and consultants, by phone, email, in writing, and in person. Manages the day-to-day collection and management of building energy and water use data. Performs others duties to help identify significant opportunities to reduce energy and water use in buildings within Kansas City, Missouri. 

REQUIRES an accredited Master’s degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field; OR an accredited Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 1 year of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field. 

Preference given to candidates with an accredited Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, economics, public administration, or other closely related subject, plus 1 or more years of relevant work experience with energy codes, utility regulatory policy and rebate programs, and promotion of energy efficiency initiatives for buildings.
