Position Description: Elan Planning, Design & Landscape Architecture is seeking a dynamic, innovative, planning professional who will assist Senior Planners and Project Managers with activities related to preparing and implementing Brownfield Revitalization Plans, downtown and waterfront revitalization strategies, municipal land use controls, and grant writing. This position will require the ability to work on multiple projects. Effective writing, communication, and research skills are critical to the position. The successful candidate is expected to take initiative on assigned projects and have the ability to work relatively independently.
Essential Duties:
- Compile and analyze data on economic, social, and physical settings of communities and designated study areas
- Preparation of graphic and narrative reports
- Seek out innovative techniques related to community revitalization
- Apply land use regulations including zoning and environmental reviews to individual projects
- Effective speaking and communication skills
- Ability to work individually and in a team setting
Education: A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Planning, Economics, Landscape Architecture or other applicable practice sector
