Job Description
Experience required: Open to entry level (approximately 1-3 years) or mid-level (approximately 5-8 years)

The Lakota Group is a progressive, award-winning Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Historic Preservation firm. We specialize in land use and master planning, downtown and main street planning, landscape/streetscape design, park/open space design and wayfinding/signage programs. Our projects include the full spectrum of land uses for public and private sector clients.

The Lakota Group is seeking a qualified Urban Planning/ Design candidate and we are open to evaluating individuals with a range of professional work experience. All candidates should be highly creative self-starters with a passion for the profession and the desire to learn and grow into the business at all levels. Must have superior design and graphic skills, be able to meet aggressive project deadlines, work well in a team setting, manage projects and junior staff, and be a strategic thinker. Applicants must possess the ability to articulate concepts both graphically and verbally. Candidates must be proficient in CAD software, GIS and Adobe Creative Suite. A great sense of humor is essential.

Education Requirements: Prefer Masters in Urban Design or Urban Planning with a focus on physical or spatial planning. Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited program
