Mgr. of Research Operations, College of Social Work, UIC - Chicago

The Jane Addams College of Social Work (JACSW) is searching for a Manager of Research Operations to oversee financial functions and personnel functions related to JACSW sponsored programs.  Duties include: serve as the subject matter expert on grants management; ensure compliance with sponsor and University submission requirements; develop and monitor budgets; process effort changes; track expenditures and effort changes; prepare and monitor subcontracts; prepare systematic budget reports on a periodic basis for the PI and key staff; establish policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy and proper oversight of the College's research enterprise. Bachelor's degree in social or basic sciences, humanities, business or public health required, Master's degree preferred; minimum of three years' experience in a research setting with at least two years of research management, writing grants or performing research.  Salary up to 45K. Strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills required; excellent independent judgment and decision making skills required; Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required.
