Provost's and Deiss Awards for Graduate Research, UIC - Chicago

The submission date for the Provost's and Deiss Awards for Graduate Research is rapidly approaching on Monday, Oct. 14. Applications for this award are initiated by students, but approved, compiled and submitted by the department. The Provost's Award is open to all graduate students currently enrolled at UIC and the Deiss Fund is specifically intended for graduate students engaged in research in clinical or basic medical sciences.

Both awards involve the submission of a specific budget for research expenses, as well as short research proposal, student CV, and letter of support from their research adviser. Students may apply on a competitive basis for awards up to $3000 to support their research, but any amount above $2000 must be matched by cost-sharing with advisers, departments and/or disciplinary colleges.
