Job Description
MDRC is seeking an experienced report production professional for its Research Technology Unit (RTU). This person will assist RTU management, conduct training classes, and work with report teams and MDRC’s Publications Department to produce documents for printing and posting on our website.
Responsibilities include:
* General management assistance to the Research Technology Unit
* Training others in software and procedures
* Coordinating production of complex reports
* Creating tables and graphics with Excel
* Constructing flow charts with Visio
* Fact-checking text, tables, and figures
Job Requirements
* BA/BS degree and interest in social policy
* Excellent attention to detail and organization
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience managing a large report or publication
* Experience developing and teaching classes
* Proficiency in Excel 2007
Familiarity with Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and/or SharePoint is a plus. A basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods is helpful. Some on-the-job training is provided.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. They must be resourceful, self-managing, and able to multitask. They must also be interested in training and mentoring junior staff in report production.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits are offered.
