Position Description: Gould Evans is seeking a full-time urban designer to work as part of our collaborative design studios. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is seeking to gain intellectual insight into the planning and design challenges for the built environment, as well as an opportunity to work in varied stages of design.  Ideal candidate would have entry level-3 years of experience; a professional degree from an accredited program; strong mapping, visualization and illustration skills; and highly graphic portfolio.
We’re seeking candidates with:
  • Professional degree in urban planning, landscape architecture or similar degree from an accredited program; with a strong understanding of community planning and urban design principles.
  • Extraordinary design, illustration and rendering skills.  The ability to create and illustrate new ideas both independently and in collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of graphic media including GIS, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and SketchUp.  Experience with AutoCAD is desirable.
  • Excellent writing skills, and the use of Microsoft Office, to support graphic production.
  • Proficiency with GIS and graphic media required.
