What: MnDOT's Office of Transit and Active Transportation is hiring for a Multimodal Planner who will:
- Plan and execute statewide multimodal planning projects;
- Coordinate and participate on planning teams/task forces and represent MnDOT on committees;
- Lead and participate in public involvement and/or inter- and intra-agency coordination;
- Lead and participate in data collection and coordination, reports, and studies;
- Integrate walking, bicycling, and transit within MnDOT's business activities;
- Support and lead implementation of initiatives tied to walking, bicycling, and transit in Minnesota and within MnDOT
- Knowledge of transit/ pedestrian/bicycle planning;
- Knowledge of principles and practices of research and analysis techniques sufficient to formulate study design and methodology;
- Proficiency in the use of statistical analysis with spreadsheet or database applications;
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Verbal and written communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff and stakeholders;
- Knowledge of transit, pedestrian, and bicycle safety education materials and training.
Location: Saint Paul, MN, with limited travel throughout Minnesota
