Illinois Tollway Positions

Messenger Services Supervisor  
$50,000.00 /Year  Deadline to apply 11/07/17                                          
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in supervising delivery personnel and managing delivery operations is required. 
  • A valid Illinois Driver's license is required.
  • This position is required to be on call for emergency situations and overtime may be required.
  • In order to assist with the loading/unloading of trucks in the CA dock area, the Messenger Services Supervisor must have:
  • The ability to lift to chest height and carry 25 to 50 pounds with intermittent rest as needed.
  • The ability to lift and carry 1 to 25 pounds to chest height and overhead as needed.
  • The ability to push a force weight of 84 pounds and pull a force weight of 55 pounds with intermittent rest as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • The ability to complete logs and schedules in a timely manner is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively, cooperatively, and effectively with co-workers and to communicate well with various levels of management are required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail, are required.
  • The ability to perform multiple functions and tasks, completing them in accordance with procedures and guidelines, is required. The ability to take initiative, prioritize, make independent decisions, and meet deadlines is required.
Inventory Control Clerk (IT) 
$15.00 /Hour   Deadline to apply 11/07/17                                  
  • The incumbent must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must be able to type accurately at a reasonable pace.
  • Must have ability to operate and navigate computers and various standard applications. Knowledge of      inventory systems is preferred.
  • The incumbent must possess the ability to communicate at a technical level with vendors, as well as Authority personnel.
  • Competent in the use of parts and supply manuals.
  • Ability to identify equipment and tools used in maintenance and repair.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds - Must have the ability to work overtime as required including during off hours / holidays / weekends/emergencies.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a parts control, inventory management environment
Budget Analyst  
$22.60 - $26.44 Hourly  Deadline to apply 11/07/17
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or the equivalent experience (minimum of four (4) years of budgeting/finance experience) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills are required in the performance of duties Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
  • This position requires the ability to perform financial analysis and manipulation and analyses of large     amounts of data
  • The principal challenge of this position will be to contribute to the efforts of the Tollway that result in optimum utilization of fiscal resources.
  • Performance will be evaluated on providing support to the Budget Manager with coordination, analysis, recommendation and forecasting activities that contribute to sound financial decision making.
  • This position will require organizational skills in order to balance a workload that combines ongoing efforts with time-sensitive special projects assigned by the Capital Budget Manager.
Accounts Payable Representative – Operations  
$13.50 - $15.50 Hourly Deadline to apply 11/07/17
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • The incumbent must possess good communication and organizational skills, be detailed and be able to take initiative.
  • The incumbent must have an aptitude for figures.
  • An understanding of the Tollway's payment processes, procedures and systems is desired.
  • Experience with Windows and Excel is required.
