Management Analyst - Village of Lincolnwood (closes June 3)

Who: The Village of Lincolnwood, Illinois (12,590 – 2010 census) is a diverse home-rule municipality directly north of the City of Chicago consisting of 2.7 square miles, with a unique blend of residential, commercial, and manufacturing areas. The Village is seeking an individual to assist the Village Manager’s Office and Finance Department. Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to exercise sound judgment is required. Desired traits and skills include patience, self-motivation, reliability, customer service, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

What: The Village of Lincolnwood is currently recruiting for a Management Analyst in the Village Manager’s Office.

This position serves under the direction of the Assistant Village Manager with some coordination with the Finance Director. The Management Analyst is responsible for acting as webmaster for the Village’s website and social media coordinator, Public, Educational, Government channel maintenance, upgrades, and programming, and provides support with workers’ compensation/general liability claims. The position is a member of the Information Technology and Safety Committees. Daily responsibilities include greeting members of the public, assisting with human resources, and acting as the Freedom of Information Act Officer as needed. The Management Analyst serves on the staff budget team and develops the Village Newsletter. The Management Analyst will perform special projects as assigned. Required Skills/Education/Experience:

The candidate’s education and experience shall include a Master's Degree in Public Administration and at least two years of relevant experience in Public Administration or a related field. Administrative Analyst – Village of Homer Glen

What: The Village of Homer Glen (pop. 24,591) is seeking motivated candidates to fill the full-time Administrative Analyst position. This position supports various aspects of Village operations, including policy development and analysis, project management and customer service, under the direction of the Village Manager and Assistant Village Manager. The Administrative Analyst is also responsible for providing staff support to the Village’s Parks and Recreation Committee.

The Administrative Analyst is a job series utilized by various City departments. This position is available within the Community Development Department. The position may be filled at the I, II, or III level, depending on the candidate’s experience.  The Analyst performs a variety of work including: development, review, analysis, and oversight of programs and special projects, advanced planning efforts, grants, and budgets; maintaining liaison with assigned committees, other departments, agencies and the public; and providing organizational and informational analysis, leadership and support.
The Community Development Department is responsible for current and advanced planning, economic development, sustainable transportation and placemaking, affordable housing, and Development Services (Building, Planning, and code enforcement). The Community Development Analyst will initiate, coordinate and manage a range of projects and programs within the areas of community and economic development especially as they relate to promoting El Cerrito in accordance with the City’s Strategic Plan as a safe, connected and environmentally-focused Bay Area destination with vibrant neighborhoods, businesses and public places.
Experience: One to five years experience, preferably in a public agency, related to general administration, budgetary analysis, or personnel work including research, analysis and preparation of written reports and recommendations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field (e.g., Public Policy, Urban Studies, Urban/Community/Environmental Planning, Economics, or other similar field).  Masters Degree desirable.
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California Driver’s License is required.
