Specialist - Grants, CMAP

 Salary Range:

$60,667.95 To $85,467.39 Annually

CMAP is seeking a Grants Specialist or Associate Grants Specialst with experience in grant writing for public and private funding opportunities. The preferred candidate will have the ability to work independently and with teams to develop grant applications and manage the full life-cycle grant of a grants process. This position will be a part of CMAP’s financial planning and analysis team, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning on agency funding goals. CMAP is passionate about creating an inclusive and thriving region by partnering with our local governments on initiatives that support transportation, regional economic growth, and climate resiliency.


Position requirements for Associate Grants Specialist, Hiring Range $60,667.95-$74,318.39

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in public administration, finance, or related field 
  • Coursework or exposure to grant writing and administration for nonprofit, public agency, and municipal organizations.

Position requirements for Grants Specialist, Hiring Range $69,769.35-$85,467.39

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in public administration, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in development or grant administration for nonprofit, public agency, municipal organization, or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of fundraising or grant writing theories, principles, practices, and techniques.
