Description:
Under general supervision, the Financial Aid Associate, will provide financial aid guidance and assistance to students and parents in obtaining federal, state, institutional and private funding for college expenses. Responsible for training and supervising Financial Aid Coordinators and/or student employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, humanities, social sciences, or a closely related field to the position.
- One (1) year (12 months) of professional experience working in student services, financial aid/loans or a closely related field within higher education or a related agency.
- Demonstrated experience with a broad range of duties within a student aid or athletic program is required.
NOTE: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, Federal and State aid, and experience with institutional aid and other rules that relate to this position
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Commitment to providing good customer service
- Education and experience should reflect the responsibilities for financial aid or athletic compliance administration in a large and highly complex environment of financial aid programs and services to a diverse student body.
