What: Partner with Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) senior leadership to lead the development, implementation and management of the external D&I Strategic Plan for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (FRBC). Manage community outreach and strategic partnerships with public, private and nonprofit organizations helping advance the D&I Strategic Plan and volunteerism in order to enhance community relations and corporate branding. Provide leadership and direction to the external stakeholders (e.g., strategic partners) to increase diversity within the financial sector in Chicago and to enhance cultural competency. Oversee and manage relationships with external stakeholders to advance community outreach and engagement in alignment with FRBC and D&I goals. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimum supervision. This job has direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as internal expert and external representative on D&I Strategic plan for Financial Services industry and volunteerism issues
- Develop the FRBC`s partnerships with summer internship and student leadership associations to provide structure and process to enhance attraction of minority high school and college students
- Effectively collaborate with People & Culture department, including co-leading and supporting integration of Volunteer Council and Supplier Diversity in employee recruitment, development, promotion, retention and other HR processes
- Collaborate with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI) and Finance leadership to manage FRBC`s corporate supplier diversity program
- Develop and pursue strategic partnerships and affiliations with professional organizations and associations for sourcing opportunities
- Responsible for partnership with FRBC`s Talent Acquisition department in the selection of colleges and universities to strengthen our recruiting efforts
- Partner with FRBC`s Community Development and Policy Studies (CDPS) department to support the internal and external community in a diverse array of charitable programs, activities and events
- Consult with department management to identify, recommend, and implement best practice D&I solutions to enhance business performance and human capital needs, building on strengths in order to address areas of opportunity
- Build effective relationships with senior executives and cross-sector/cross-functional groups in order to advance diversity and inclusion within the financial sector
- Facilitates accurate and timely reporting and analyses, including management reporting/dashboards, identifying key trends and relevant information to support business strategies & decision making
- Support research and analysis on diversity and inclusion themes and trends in the Financial Services industry as well as provide insight and analysis on findings
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project management and business analysis experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in strategic corporate social responsibility, nonprofit management, and/or community outreach Prior experience leading large scale team-based projects
Knowledge and Skills
- Good communicator with ability to make public presentations and create effective written and web content
- Creativity and resourcefulness in developing and executing engagement plans, communications campaigns, and community events
- Ability to influence senior management and peers, build business cases to tie social responsibility to core business strategy, and lead crossfunctional teams
