Assistant Program, City of Long Beach
What:
Established
in 1980, the City of Long Beach Management Assistant Program is the
longest-running nationally ranked municipal management development program in
California. The program strives to attract, develop and retain innovative local
government practitioners. Selected Management Assistants are provided with an
intense and fulfilling one-year apprenticeship where they are given an
opportunity to rotate in four,
three-month rotations in various city departments.
Qualifications:
Seeking
candidates who have earned (or will earn by June 2018) a Master's Degree in
Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Urban Planning
or a related field and have 6 months of paid or voluntary experience in
government, finance, legislation, research or statistical analysis.
Benefits:
Full
time, $56,090 salary.
