Who: The UIC Extended Campus (UIC EC) at the
University of Illinois at Chicago has an opening for the position of Digital
Marketing and Recruitment Strategist
What: This position defines, creates, executes, and
manages targeted digital marketing campaigns focused on building brand
awareness and prospective student lead generation. This position uses digital
advertising, performance analytics and website development to promote programs
and develop a strategy to improve the quality and efficiency of the UIC
Extended Campus marketing and recruitment efforts. This position overseas the
development and maintenance of all UIC Extended campus sites and landing pages
via WordPress and the university-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
system.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
• Work with Associate Director to develop and articulate strategy to market UIC
Extended Campus (UIC EC) supported programs.
• Plan and implement specific performance analytics processes for online
marketing campaigns.
• Develop and execute content marketing and social media programs for clients
• Write and edit content for website, ads, blogs, and other marketing
collateral; including landing pages, forms, and response pages and tracking
methods for marketing campaigns.
• Provide digital and marketing technologies expertise to the recruitment and
marketing team, including Search Engine Optimization ( SEO), Search Engine
Marketing ( SEM) , web analytics, Google AdWords, and other
search-related advertising, email technologies, social media and mobile
marketing tools, to ensure that UIC EC utilize the most effective marketing and recruitment
capabilities.
• Manage develop, and execute online advertising, including copy writing
following approved messaging for online ads, emails, etc.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on campaign tracking, search engine
marketing, post-click marketing strategy, landing page optimization, testing,
user behavior, data analysis and reporting.
• Oversee maintenance, updates, and optimization of client website and social
media platforms.
• Manage the CRM execution of email communications including promotional
emails, nurture campaigns, newsletters, and event-triggered emails
• Leverage web analytics to track, measure, and provide value-adding reporting
on digital marketing activities
• Prepare reports that evaluate the effectiveness of various marketing tactics.
Review performance reports to develop and implement solutions that improve
performance metrics.
• Help identify competitors and define how to appropriately position programs
within the market
• Analyze demographic variables of prospect, lead, student and alumni
information
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in marketing, communications, or a relevant
field required. Minimum of 3 years of digital marketing experience.
Experience in managing enrollment, trend analysis and lead generation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and data and trend
analysis skills. Experience with the creation and implementation of
recruitment and marketing/ communications plans and working knowledge of best
practices within graphic design. Outstanding lead generation/nurturing
experience. CRM experience strongly preferred. Experience in higher
education preferred. HTML, SQL and CSS experience is a plus
