Planner I, Augusta, GA


Planner I - This entry level planning position involves a combination of field and office related activities relating to both routine and complex planning & zoning tasks and duties. Job duties include reviewing development plans, to ensure compliance with zoning and other local code requirements; research, reviewing development proposals, evaluating rezoning petitions and ordinance amendments, and working with a variety of stakeholders on neighborhood plans. This position assists in the evaluation of rezoning and variances petitions, ordinance amendments, and similar proposals and includes completing analysis and making recommendations on the proposed petitions and ordinance amendments. 
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Architecture or a related field - Master Degree Preferred. 

Experience: Two (2) years of experience in planning or a related field.
