Director of Graduate Programs in Public Policy/Senior Faculty Position in Public Policy
Position Description and Qualifications:
The University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a senior colleague to lead our Public Policy programs at the Masters and Doctoral levels. The Director of Graduate Programs in Public Policy will oversee the Master in Public Policy and the Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management.
The appointment will be tenured at the rank of associate or full professor. The successful applicant will have an excellent research record, exceptional management and leadership skills, and a strong vision for directing one of the nation’s top Public Policy programs. In addition to pursuing research, the Director will have opportunities to teach at the undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. levels. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in public policy or related field.

The mission of the Sol Price School of Public Policy is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities, here and abroad. We achieve this mission through education and research that promote innovative solutions to the most critical issues facing society, with a particular focus on governance, urban development, and social policy. The Price School offers Ph.D. programs in Public Policy and Management and in Urban Planning and Development; masters’ degrees in Public Administration, Nonprofit Leadership and Management, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Health Administration, and Real Estate Development; executive masters’ degrees; and an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree.

We seek colleagues who will enhance the School’s intellectual leadership, research, and teaching in one or more of the following areas: political institutions, contemporary dimensions of local and state government and governance, organizational theory, and analytical approaches to performance and program evaluation. The appointments will be tenured at the rank of associate or full professor. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., and have substantive knowledge and demonstrated research ability in their areas of expertise.

Position Description and Qualifications:
The University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position from individuals conducting interesting and important research in nonprofit organizations and management, philanthropy, and/or social innovation. We seek to hire a colleague, preferably at the assistant professor level, who will contribute to research and teaching that support the new master’s degree in nonprofit leadership and management as well as the public administration programs in the School. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
