This position is accountable for operating and maintaining the Illinois Certification and Research Track (ICART) facility. This position procures and maintains non-destructive testing systems to support the department's roadway research, pavement management needs, and oversees the pavement and bridge testing field operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience reading roadway and bridge construction plans
- Working knowledge of the American Society for the Testing of Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to evaluate and diagnose problems in testing systems
