This position is accountable for evaluating hardware and software needs, providing technical support, advice, and education for the ongoing use, maintenance, enhancement, and oversight of all data systems in the Bureau of Research. This position directly supports data systems for all of the bureau's pavement data collection equipment, including friction testing, profile testing, falling weight deflectometer (FWD) structural condition testing, and all other computerized data collection activities. In addition, this position is accountable for maintaining the department's mechanistic-empirical pavement design spreadsheet to reflect updates in pavement management efforts that impact the life-cycle cost analysis and pavement type selection. This position is accountable for keeping all data files accessible as software updates are issued to ensure data use in maintaining department policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management

   -  Knowledge of and experience with developing information management systems and handling extremely large datasets

• - - Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems. 

• - - Proven ability to work with others to establish goals and resolve issues
